Fernweh is located in Bogota, Colombia, right in the heart of suburb of La Candelaria.

The project began in 2015 when we, travellers ourselves, decided to find a place where we could share the two things we love most: travelling and photography.  Our main goal was to combine these two passions and create a space where people can live, share ideas and exchange experiences about travelling while also falling in love with photography. We even have our own gallery where guests can browse through or purchase photographs!

After many years on the road, we become infatuated with Bogota and the downtown area of La Candelaria. After months of searching, we finally found the perfect space to create something both authentic and inspiring, because that’s the idea when one travels, to inspire one another.

Since we are travellers by heart, have itchy feet and always long for adventure, we decided to call the house Fernweh.

Fernweh | German origin [n] : Wanderlust; crave for travel; ache for distant places. We are always ready for the adventure, and  wherever we go, our cameras always come with.

We hope that Fernweh  will become a central meeting point for creatives and backpackers a like. Whether you are a professional photographer seeking inspiration, a student who needs guidance or assistance or just a wanderer passing by, we would love to connect with you!
